With the aid of a highly experienced guide you will be shown the island's most famous sites and learn of its incredible history. On this excursion you will be taken on a walking-tour through the main town of Mykonos as well as on a trip that will explore the inner island's landscape and beaches.
The compact harbor-town of Mykonos is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture that is wonderfully preserved. A stroll through the narrow streets and whitewashed buildings of town is a real fantasy-like excursion, full of picturesque settings. Some of the highlights of the tour include stops at The Windmills, Little Venice and the iconic church of Paraportianni.
The inner-island portion of the tour takes you on a scenic journey through the countryside and will include a visit to the small village at the center of the island called Ano Mera. Here at the traditional village square which is bordered with outdoor tavernas and coffee shops you will also see the 16th century cathedral monastery of Panagia Tourliani. Other significant stops of interest include the island's lighthouse with its incredible vista as well as a visit to a few of the exclusive and famous beaches of Mykonos.
All private tours may be tailored to concentrate more time on any specific island attraction on request. The island portion of the tour allows for a rest stop and coffee break. If the inclusion of time for a meal at a beach-side taverna or even a swim is desirable, all is possible and best stated prior to booking.
Private tours are available for either 4 hours or 8 hours.
Special Instructions: Mykonos Town part of the tour is explored on foot. Please wear low heeled comfortable shoes. Bring your camera, its going to be amazing!
